The included 3W solar panel helps maintain the rechargeable battery, but it may not keep the camera fully charged in every situation.

Solar charging performance depends on:

• the amount of direct sunlight
• shade from buildings, trees or structures
• cloudy weather
• winter conditions
• the direction and angle of the panel
• how often live view, recordings and alerts are used

For better charging:

1. Mount the solar panel where it receives direct sunlight.
2. Avoid shaded or low-light locations.
3. Keep the panel securely mounted.
4. Check the battery level in the Connect SmartHome app.
5. Use USB charging if the solar panel is not maintaining enough battery power.

The camera should be fully charged by USB before its first installation.
