This lock combines app-controlled fingerprint access with a thumb latch that determines how the lock behaves. Here’s how to set it up and use it:
Fingerprint Setup
Fingerprints must be registered via the app
You can save up to 20 fingerprints:
First 3 = Administrators
Next 17 = Regular Users
To add a new admin once full:
Delete an existing admin in the app
Then add the new fingerprint
Thumb Latch Positions
Locked Position (Horizontal):
Lock auto-locks 5 seconds after unlocking
Only admin fingerprints can unlock
Regular User fingerprints won't work
Open Position (Vertical):
Lock stays unlocked after access
Anyone can open from outside without fingerprint
To lock: Scan fingerprint twice within 3 seconds
Both admins and regular users can then unlock
Unlocking the Door
Simply touch the sensor with a registered fingerprint
No need to "wake" the sensor
After unlocking:
Lock auto-locks after 5 seconds (if in locked mode)
Stays unlocked (if in open mode)
Leaving the House Securely
Turn latch to open before leaving
After exiting, either:
Turn latch back to locked, then close the door
Or close the door while latch is open, then
scan fingerprint twice in 3 seconds to lock
Fingerprint Errors & Lockouts
5 failed attempts =
10-second alarm
2-minute lockout
No lights or unlock from inside/outside
Use app only to unlock during lockout
App Connection Tip
If you see:
"Tap to connect to the device"
→ Just move closer and tap again — no need to wake the lock.
