Question: What can I do if my Smart Door Lock with Palm Vein Recognition is not working correctly?

Answer:

If you’re experiencing issues with the Smart Door Lock, try the following troubleshooting steps based on the symptom:

  • Issue: Palm vein not recognized
    Possible Causes & Fixes:

    • Ensure your hand is clean and held 3–6cm above the sensor.

    • Retry in good lighting conditions—avoid direct sunlight or complete darkness.

    • Re-register your palm via the app using slow, steady hand movement during scanning.

  • Issue: Lock is unresponsive
    Possible Causes & Fixes:

    • Check if the battery level is low.

    • Replace all 4x AA batteries with fresh ones.

    • Ensure the battery compartment is closed securely.

  • Issue: Cannot connect to the app
    Possible Causes & Fixes:

    • Verify your phone’s Bluetooth and GPS are enabled.

    • Make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.

    • Reboot your phone and try pairing again through the Connect SmartHome app.

  • Issue: Forgotten administrator credentials or app access
    Fix:

    • Use a pin or paperclip to press the Reset button on the inside panel.

    • This will reset the lock to factory settings. You’ll need to re-pair it using the app and reconfigure access methods.
